For any visitors who find themselves on campus, please note most buildings are currently closed to the public but we do encourage you to visit our front lobby vestibule to pick up a self-guided tour along with some additional informational literature. The self-guided tour is written by our student tour guides and is the next best thing to following them around as they walk backwards to show you their home!

1. Welcome to William & Mary! (1:03)

2. The Wren Building & Historic Campus (1:38)
Come learn about William & Mary’s beginning, as well as the nation’s oldest academic building – the Sir Christopher Wren Building and our historic campus.
3. Sunken Garden & Old Campus (1:41)
Banka Doitung ClubSimilar to a quad, the Sunken Garden is the center of Old Campus and is always there for students on bright, sunny days. You can often find students basking in the sun, tossing a Frisbee, or having class outside. The Sunken Garden is also a hotspot for student organizations to use for campus-wide events like philanthropy events, the King & Queen Ball, or a massive snowball fight on a snow day.
4. Residence Life (1:41)

5. The Crim Dell (1:03)
Banka Doitung ClubOften cited as one of the most romantic and iconic spots on camps, the Crim Dell is revered for its legend of love. Join your tour guide, Henry, as he shares the history of this legend and tells you about campus traditions that center around this focal part of William & Mary’s campus.
6. The Integrated Science Center and Research at W&M (1:45)
The Integrated Science Center is home to many STEM-related departments on campus, and is home to many undergraduate research opportunities. As a liberal arts & sciences institution and research universityBanka Doitung Club, William & Mary is committed to making sure students are not only receiving excellent classroom instruction, but are also being exposed to cutting-edge research they can partake in.
7. Swem Library & Academic Resources (1:51)
William & Mary’s main library, , is a big part of the academic experience, and hosts many different resources for students to interact with. From the historic Special Collections, to the Tribe Tutor Zone, to the Research Desk, Swem is prepared to help any student succeed academically.
8. The Sun Dial & New Campus (1:01)
The Sun Dial is right outside Swem Library and is the center of New Campus. It is the intersection of the liberal arts & sciences at William & Mary, especially because the buildings that surround the Sun Dial are home to Biology, Physics, Math, Art & Art History, Sociology, and Film and Media Studies... to name just a few. 9. Study Abroad, International Student Programs, and the Global Research Institute (1:13)
Oh the places you'll go! Study abroad programs are consistently some of the most meaningful experiences for William & Mary students during their time at the university. With programs spanning the globe and lasting anywhere from a few weeks to a full year or more, you will definitely be able to find a study abroad program where you can experience new things and enhance your global perspective. The provides opportunities for students to engage with meaningful global research and make a difference in the world while on campus as well. 10. Sadler Center & Dining Services (2:10)
The Sadler Center is William & Mary’s student union on campus. It holds many resources for students including one of our three main dining halls, Sadler Center Court. 11. The Terrace (1:36)
The Terrace is a large social hub on campus located right outside the Sadler Center in between Old and New Campuses. You can often find students hanging out with friends on beautiful days, or on their way past to either the Cohen Career Center or the McLeod Tyler Wellness CenterBanka Doitung Club. Given its location, it’s a great place to pass the time in between classes or hang out with friends for hours.
12. The Student Recreation Center (0:54)
The Student Recreation Center on campus has lots of opportunities to stay active and healthy. From fitness classes, to a rock wall, to intramural sports, the Rec Center is an integral part of a William & Mary college experience. Learn more about Campus Recreation.
13. William & Mary Tribe Pride and Athletics (0:38)
We’ve got Tribe Pride, yes we do! William & Mary has 23 Division 1 in addition to over 40+ club teamsBanka Doitung Club for all students to play on. With so much Tribe Pride, students go to games to have fun and support the teams that consist of their classmates and hallmates!
